For many, a trip to New York involves a visit to the now famous Katz's Deli for their pastrami sandwich. Pastrami in The Foodhallen has taken this dish under the microscope and given it a delicious twist of its own. Where New Yorkers eat the pickled beef between two slices of rye bread with mustard, the new classic is one with a soft brioche bun and a dressing of mayonnaise and horseradish.
Butcher de Wit is responsible for the very flavorful pastrami, the bread comes from Vlaamsch Broodhuys and all sauces and toppings are homemade. Other options on the menu include a Corned beef sandwich with cheese and sauerkraut and the Pastrami noodle soup. Will this become your new favorite?
Opening hours
The Foodhallen is open Monday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.. On Friday and Saturday, you can visit from 11:00 to 1:00.
